Is it ok to get a gift for the helper of the club and no one else? It would be nice to give back something for all their help and time. I am new to the sport. Just started watching and helping out within the last couple of months, so I really don't know what to get. I know they have a lot of expenses on their part, so would a gift card work? And if so, where do get a gift card so they can purchase some equipment? I haven't seen any stuff at wal-mart, only in magazines. Where is the most popular place helpers/trainers shop at?
Thanks ya,
K.B.

There is never anything wrong with showing someone you appreciate them. It is all too rare in our society anymore. People don't even say thank you for anything anymore.....
If you feel more comfortable, just give it to the helper in an envelope and ask that it be opened at home. That way it is not awkward if no one else has given and is feeling strange about it.
There are plenty of good dog equipment sites that you could email and pay up front for some amount of funds and then have the helper go to the website and use that towards a purchase. Also, depending on the person, if they are a homeowner, or have a car, a gift card to Home Depot or some auto supply store also would work. Of course, there are always restaurant gift cards too and a variety of other items that any person would enjoy.

Theraputic Massage Gift Card- at least I think I would like it if I were a helper. I also think about a dinner gift certificate because our TD/Helper's wife doesn't see alot of him during the season and we would like to "thank" her for letting him play with our dogs.
Our club has a checking account with a Visa debit card- so that if we need equipment our helper/TD can get what we need.

Bravo to you for taking care of your decoy!!!!!!!
For me a public thank your when a dog does well in a competition or titles is the best gift I can get. Simple thank you's a sandwich, and a drink on training days is greatly appreciated. If I got a message gift certificate, I would be in hog heaven and would be giving your dog some special attention.
There are no titles, or dog sport for that matter, without decoys. Love and appreciate them.

The best Gift you can give a Helper for all his time and effort, is to go on and title your Dog that he has given up so much of his time and help
There will be no happier person than he will be, if you do that. that is worth all the material presents that you may betow on him

ROTFLMAO! But seriously folks, most helpers would appreciate anything you care to put the thought and effort into in remembering them.
