Well, after a heart wrenching decision to sell Jager because he kept hurting the horses, I got a new dog.   For me it was the loss of Zahn and few days later Jager.  Although, Jager went to a good home, it was still a difficult loss.  But, there must have been some Karma at work because without those losses, I would not have found this dog that looks and acts exactly like my sweet Zahn.

His name is Uno Vom Klausener Grund.  I got him from Andrea Betz.  She is an EXCELLENT breeder from Germany and the transaction was fantastic.  Andrea was always available to email.  She did everything she promised in great time.  And thanks Craig here in the US for the help in making the decision!

He has the EXACT temperment of Zahn Von Noch Wasser, the male that I recently put to sleep and he even looks A LOT LIKE HIM.  So, we named him Hanz but we still mistakingly call him Zahn sometimes.  He gives fantastic hugs and the sweetest kisses.

I took him to a SC Regional show (my very first show) and he won first place in the 18-24 month division.  It is interesting that the people at the show were the nicest people that I have met in the GSD community.  I would have thought after being in this community for so long, they would have been much more aggressive and judgmental ;- ), but they were all nice and offered great tips.  In fact, we would have had fun just to have gone.  The fact that he won was only extra.

We would like to send out  a big thank you to the Cristy who showed Hanz FANTASTICLY (plus, had the nicest looking dogs), Jennifer who helped us figure the whole thing out, and (sorry I forgot your name - guy from) All American Dog,  These people went above and beyond to help us figure out what we were doing.  They really love German Shepherds and seeing their success.  Salute!  And Christy, I think Hanz has a little crush on you ;-)

Well that is my little blurb.  Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and we wish everyone a Merry Christmas.

Regards,

W L Pool

He looks great!  Very best of luck with him.

I'm curious to know what type of problems you had with Jager and the horses?

Jager kept harrassing the babies then when Zahn died the next day he attacked my best one and tore a 4 in gash in one leg and 5 in gash in the other.  I had to assist my vet in a three our surgery on the filly.  She made it, but will never show in confirmation.  It was like Zahn kept him in line and once Zahn was no longer there to be his supervisor, he just decided that the baby horses were fair game.  I know that I could have gotten a shock collar and broke him of the habit, but I was mentally drained from the loss of Zahn and the surgery was the last straw.   That particular filly took me 11 years to get.  The mother was very difficult to keep in foal.  In fact, the foal is somewhat of a miracle and the fact that she made it through this incident as well as she did is another miracle.  To prep her for surgery nearly killed me.

Anyway, that was a very hard month for me and Jager went to OK to live with a jeweler and his family who are very happy with him and as much as it can, it makes me happy.

So that is what happened to Jager.

They were probably so nice because he is so good looking they're considering him for possible stud service in the future!  Gorgeous dog, love his topline and bone.

I like him too. Does anybody have contact information for Andrea Betz? I googled the kennel name but she's not listed there.
