I have not heard of this particular author of GSD's, if you know of this author, would you rate him/her knowledg and /experience with GSD's high, medium or low?

what subject are you looking for under the GSD?. There are number of authors depends on what area you are specifically want to readup on? Why this particular author. He seems to have written just one book.

I collect books and I have this one.There are better books in print on the GSD. Depends on what you want - a history of the breed, an overview (this one's an overview IIRC), specific topics? If you want a good book on history, training, sports, correct anatomy and structureand so on, get a copy of Winifred Gibson Strickland's German Shepherd book.
