Are these studs from Czech or DDR lines, or a combination?

How about Fero?

this has nothing to do with what you are asking but i was looking over the picts on the historical va list recently and picked out a few that had a 'look' i like and one looked very much like crok.   1977 VA1 Herzog von Adeloga http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/107.html

Greif Zum Lahntal is a very famous old stud dog in the late 70's or so.

He fathered Sagus vom Busecker Schloss that won the Bundesseiger with Helmur Raiser. In fact I owned the littermate Silge.

Many of the offspring of Greif were very tough-civil dogs.

But back then we enjoyed a tougher dog and times were different.

So when and where did the "Mink" head show up? I have heard it referred to as anvil shaped or just plain ugly. I am curious of the orgins. Even I can pick out dogs with this type head now and I am no expert. But as far as workability and drive, let's just say I havehad  lots of offers. My dog is a Crok grandson. He has a head so long and pointy that people think he is part malinois. But the way he works, I don't care

Thanks,

Paul
