I've always flown into Frankurt and rented a car, driven to wherever, because I can never get a good airfare of deal on a rental car at the other German sirports. Personally, I like to camp at the stadium. Lots of fun mosying (sp?) through the campgrounds at night, meeting new people and dogs. There are always nice, clean restrooms with showers at the grounds.

When you look at a map, you will find that Ulm is right at the "Autobahn" in between Stuttgart and Munich, with Stuttgart being a bit closer. Both cities have major airports.

As to a citymap, tourism etc., please go to the city's official homepage: www.ulm.de . It is a beautiful area, I used to live and go to school a little further in Augsburg which also happens to be the city where the SV has its headquarter.

Stuttgart is the closest airport to Ulm..  About 45 minutes south to Ulm.

Ulm is a small town so the hotels in the city cannot accomodate the tens of thousands who travel to the BSHZ show.

The only hotel in town that is still available is the headquarters at prohibitive rates. Presently hotels out of town are being offered online. Those hotels are generally 15 to 20 minutes from the show site.

Each year there are cancellations  within 2 weeks of the show at in-town hotels.

There will be no parking available at the show site. Those spaces will be taken by the German membership. Satellite parking will be available where you will ride a bus to the show site.

The last time I went to Ulm I flew to Stuttgart and caught the train.

Does that include foreign entrants?

You camp Shelley?  Do you take your camping gear with you from the States?
