For all of you who didn't make it, you missed a super event. The amount of information disseminated by three of the country's all time greats, having volunteered their time and effort, was mind-boggling. Also great to see so many newcomers to the sport in attendance, proudly working their dogs in pursuit of titles. The trial, featuring some truly awesome dogs and handlers, was icing on the cake. No way anyone will ever get so much value for a measly $100. anywhere!
Congratulations to James Honda and friends for doing a great job with a huge undertaking. I really hope this event is repeated every year from now on.
By the way... The food was excellent and there was plenty of it. Definitely a class act from start to finish.

Do me a favor Gustav. Let ME decide which pix of me to post here. I looked pretty rough after getting up at 3 am to drive to NJ and then training all day. LOL

Congratulations! I'm glad it was successful. I so wanted to go but really wanted to work a dog and this year couldn't justify the expense not knowing if I would possibly end up only being an observer. Of course you can learn much by watching, but with the expenses of the trip (gas, hotel, etc.) I needed to be able to actually train.
Is there an e-mail list for announcements of next year's seminar? I think had I known early enough I would've jumped on it, hoping to be one of the first to enter and get a training slot.

There was at least one slot for a dog/handler team available due to unforeseen circumstances. Even as a spectator, $100. for two days with those guys, all 3 phases, incl. meals was the bargain of the century. :-D

it was a misstake for me to not go if what you all say is correct

it was a nice mixture of WDA/USA people. YES! The WDA is really reaching out to ALL sports enthusiasts, regardess of organizational affiliation. Nice change IMO.
it was a misstake for me to not go if what you all say is correct I'd definitely agree with you on that! Next time I will try to make attendance mandatory for all our club members.
Don't ask me to ID all the nice folks in Gustav's photo from the dinner... :-O That's Wallace Paine on my left.

Here are a couple of shots from one of Charlie's sessions.
I think that the seminar went over really well. I feel like that it was a great opportunity for people, and I know that I saw some people there really making the most of the opportunity.
I didnt bring my dog with me, but I left the seminar very inspired and with a head full of ideas and a new perspective on the sport. It was great to meet lots of people, even though I am sure I sounded like an alien in New Jersey with my Georgia accent =) . New Jersey accents sound a little alien to me too!. Good times.

if you are you isn't he to you're right? Yeah... what she said.
I wish I had thought to take a few pix. I had my camera in my pocket nearly the whole time, but was to engrossed in what was going on to think to pull it out even once. Says a lot about the info being presented.
