We are looking at DDR line pups and doing research at this time on several breeders. Would appreciate any input on the quality of GSD's and the business reputation of the breeders.
1. Vonbanachk9
2. VonHena-C
3. Alt-Ostland
4. Spartanville

tho I don't know 3 of them personally,,I've heard good things about #4 , no opinion on #1, not so good things about #3,
I have a male out of a Von hena-c dog that I absolutely love to death,,he has been one of my 'heart' dogs. I would not hesitate to buy a dog from her. He's everything I've always dreamed of in a gsd and then some.
Right now I have a puppy from Kleinen Hain , sire is a Reiko Von Hena C son, (sire has so many titles I"ve lost track:)) who is DDR/czech and a Eurosport bitch who is a slovakian import..I love her to death, she is a wild child but alot of fun. While I'm not positive she has 100% ddr litter(s) I like her dogs as well and would get another from her also..

Not sure about Hena-C, but the other three don't work their dogs just breed them. How does a breeder know the strengths and weaknesses of their dogs if they just breed and not work them personly or know what to look for in each individual breeding pair? How do they know what they are putting out there? Because the parents are good looking and have a good pedigree including titles doesn't mean anything, unless the breeder knows what they have, what to look for and what they are producing.

I have a new full DDR female from Jean Schrader aka SchraderhausK9. She is to die for!! tracking like a fiend at three months. I have visited Jean several times and highly reccomend her.

Wanda Brown with Kleinenhain has a fine reputation for producing excellent working dogs. I have talked to her for over a year and can reccomend her integrity as well.

Both of these breeders photo's do not do their dogs complete justice. They are stunning and strong.

I disagree strongly. There are many, MANY breeders out there who have been producing dogs for 10, 20, 30+ years and have yet to produce any real quality. I can think of one about 45 min from me that is the local laughingstock of GSD breeders and dog trainers. Thank God she is retiring.
That said, I'm afraid I cannot contribute to any of the breeders you listed, best of luck to you finding the puppy you are looking for.
