Yeah it is but 12 days its just not enough to tell, becaue they will change a lot during the time, she might be cold? lol or more sensitive to a touch hard to say at that age, if she looks healthy don't worry and don't read too much into it, but do take notes of all the pups it will be easier to figure it out later how they will develope.

You can tell plenty at 12 days old.

Wow, I've had puppies showing "attitude" on day one. This is not so unusual, and typically marks a good puppy. Many do change quickly as they interact with littermates and the dam, but strong personalities are present very early with some puppies. I would not take your experience as anything wrong with the puppy-give it time. You may have a real firecracker on your hands.
Best Regards,

i would think this is your cue to handle that puppy more often than the others. socialize her to people a bit more heavily. nothing to worry about. every pup is different and this is one who might need a tad more handling time. jmo.

Rather typical of an alpha pup... I ended up keeping a pup I had planned on selling begining with that behavior, and watching her over the next weeks.. she was always the first... at everything. And til the day she passed on she never met a challange she wasn't happy to try to make me happy. If you're thinking of keeping one pup... that may be the one. I had intended on keeping a male from Fawn's litter, but never regretted my choice.

I like the ones that show attitude early. Like windwalker says...often an alpha pup, and often one of the very best in the litter for work. That might be the one for you to keep.
