I live in a city between Miami and Ft. Lauderdale. My vet is quoting me nearly $400.00 to X Ray my dog's hips and elbows.
Does anyone out there know of anyone else in South Florida that can perform the same task but for less?
Thank you

I live in Ft Lauderdale and $400 is a really good price. My vet charged $600, and they are about average.

That's a really good price,
I find it can range anywhere from $ 300.00 to $ 600.00.
Plus you are probably going to include a micro-chip, and pre-anesthic screening (which is usually extra),
and you should do, so you know that your dogs kidneys are functioning well, so he will wake-up ok.

I guess I dont feel so bad about how much I'm paying anymore.
I pay around $360, but that includes
fecal, heartworm test, dhpp, bordetella, 3yr rabies, xrays, digital cd, health cert for a dog that is being sold, 12 months of inteceptor 51-100lbs, and 3 comfortis tablets.
Looking at it now, and I have a few bills from the vet in front of me, x-rays were 121, disk was 5, and if there is an office visit its around 40. My vet doesn't normally charge an office visit because we bring in more then 2 dogs at a time and I assume because my partner and I bring them lots of dogs.
Good luck. Shop around. Each and every vet can charge something different. We have an old time country vet, but with the modern amennities(sp?)
I'm also in Fl, But up by St. Augustine
