Ear forms/molds? - Page 1

Can anyone tell me where I can buy an ear form or mold for a GSD pup? I've been looking online and can't seem to find anything.

By the time you add enough glue to the forms so that they will stick (because they suck so much up), they get so heavy that it sometimes holds the ear down.  We usually take a toilet paper roll and cut out an ear shaped piece.  Glue that in.  Light enough that it doesn't weigh the ear down but strong enough to stop the ear from folding or bending over.

I wouldn't recommend shaving the inside of the ear.  If you leave the hair in there then there is something for the glue to stick to.  If you rip out the form prematurely (and therefore rip out all the hair in the ear) it's much harder to put in a second form and get it to stick.

What great idea with the toilet paper roll! Thank you! I'll try that, I see they sell Tear Mender at Cabela's, so this should be pretty easy. I promised a friend my help and I didn't want to shell out $30+ after shipping for foam, I've helped out others with that kind and I didn't care for them, they were much too heavy.
