Grunting and Groaning? - Page 1

Does everybody elses GSD grunt and groan too?  My boy likes to grunt/groan when he's stretching or laying down relaxing.  Kinda funny, reminds me of an old man, LOL!  He's almost 4yrs.

Buddy does but he's 11.5, sometimes I think he's uncomfortable but I can really never be sure... he's very good at the old flannel, so I let him on the sofa for a squeeze... he still grunts and groans!

yeah spunky aka zippy vom haus miller, my 1 and a half year female, does that too. anytime we stop walking, whenever the bus ride is more than 5 minutes, whenever anybody pets her, even in the middle of a training class. my neighbor has a gsd/chesapeake 3 month pup and he does alot of it too. lol, now i'm not so embarassed cuz her pup does it too when we are out together.

angus grunts and groans too. it always makes us laugh. do your gsds "collapse" really hard when they lay down? like kind of crash no matter what the surface is? we're always worried he's gonna break our floors!

Yes Charlie collapses also, and he usually lets out a good grunt as he goes down to the floor, LOL!  It's really funny if I have him crated when company is in the house and he lets out a good groan.  People always look at me like I have a Ogre in the closet!

Yes Cuba and his mum both do the grunting & groaning thing, especially when they have been told to lay down because they are being annoying, Cuba can never just lay down on the floor he always does the groan and crash bang thing.
