Hi there,i recently attended my first G.S.D. dog show whilst visiting my parents down south,i found the day really enjoyable, well organised and a joy to watch, unfortunately i found some of the breeders and handlers a little patronising and a little insulting whilst talking about other dogs and handlers, this fortunately was only the minority and has not put me off thinking about attending a show myself. What are the main characteristics for a good breeder and handler?

When you say main characteristics for a good breeder and handler - is this looking for them?
For me a good breeder is happy to admit both good and bad - most have had the down sides of things and the poor ones in my opinion hide this. They are also willing for you to see ALL their dogs and do not hide any away. All dogs have their good days, and their bad ones - usually after they've been in the muddy pond or rolled in something inappropriate!
Handlers - that usually takes going to a few shows and finding out who's out there. From chatting to people you'll find out who's available etc. If you are fit and willing to learn its something you could do yourself!
