I have written about this before but I will quickly brief you up again.
A bitch was imported and sold as a puppy. Her paper work came few weeks later and the importer applies for registration for this bitch but was declined. It is a rule that originals should be submitted for verification. Because there was no reply the breeder sent a friend along with copies of the originals to the club to ask what happened. The club said that the club will contact the buyer directly.
Buyer kept harassing the importer for the papers and importer said because the buyer requested the importer to register the dog he had done the needful. This bitch had her brother also imported and his papers were given to his buyer and was registered without a problem in another club. Importer asked the buyer to return the bitch puppy for a full refund and the buyer replied back by saying "its not a rock". And the conversation ended there.
Later in an AGM of the club the secretary of the club annouced that she won't register any dogs from this importer because he was in the committee of another club regardless of paper work. This shows biasness from the club.
The buyer had now bred the female and is again harassing the importer for the paper work because he needs to register the litter.
My point is, if the buyer is not willing to refund the bitch for a refund and now had bred her. The importer is not responsible for any refund nor registration.
Whats your comment on this???

By the way, the club secretary is alson known to do acts like this. She even has a lawsuit from her own son for changing her husband's will to keep any inheritance from going to the son. She was questioned by the local law enforcement on this.

dont import a dog.
why does the importer of the dog want her back? do they have the paperwork and not want to let it go?
dont use a middle man. deal direct with a breeder.
make sure if you are going to pay full price that you have seen or have in hand all paperwork.
dont import a dog, there are good ones here.

why was the dog bred if the buyer didn't have papers in hand? like my grandmother would say " its like getting the cart before the horse".

The title of this thread pretty well sums it up. Plenty of foolishness to go around here. What exactly are you asking and how do you fit into this?

I mean, the importer as an solution offered to take the bitch back out of good will because he knows that he had handed the papers over to the club. This mean, the breeder had no papers but gave a fair solution.
Papers generally take some time to come. I am not in the US so must import good dogs.

why were the papers given to the club?
if you cant trust the people you deal with, save the xtra money and travel to the dog, purchase it and get the papers in hand.

Well, its the requirement that the original be given to the club for verification if the dog is imported - these are rules. Nothin to do with the importer, it is just the club and the buyer. Importer had done his part

why isn't the importer/SELLER of the dog responsible for the paperwork? He sold the dog, accepted money for the dog, he should be responsible for making sure the paperwork is in order. He should go to "the club" and get the paperwork back from them, sign it over to the buyer. It is his responsibility as the seller, to have the paperwork in order. It's not "the end" just because he hands paperwork over to "a club" who has a personal problem with him - this is not the buyers' problem. He should fix it because he took money for the dog.

All what I know is that the paper work was inorder and under request of the buyer he applied. The other dog got registered. Copies had been resent to buyer and club. Beyond this there is nothing else really that the seller, buyer can do except go for a refund and return the dog, but the dog had been bred.
