Good girl, Gracie.  That said, this woman needs to move, and watch her back until they catch the perp.  He threatened to come back, and I guarantee if he does, the first thing he'll do is kill that brave dog.

What a great story.  Thanks for sharing, 4pack.  Sounds like your average good temperamented GSD without Sch training or PPD training.  This is what Capt. von Stephanitz wanted and demanded.  A young calm, GSD with normal temperament like this has the innate desire to protect his family and territory and will do his best.  This lady has an excellent GSD for sure.  It is this kind of spontaneous total defense reaction to a real time threat that makes the GSD the best for family protection and gives them priceless value for any family who is willing to provide good care for them and develop the dog's need for attachment and bonding.

Great story, thank you for sharing.  Sounds like a young dog, she refers to it as a pup and they said it only weights 50 lbs. so what an incredible young dog.

What a great story.  I bet that poor woman is shakin all over.  I'd of moved that same day.  I agree he might just come back or look for the chance to take the dog out.  Thank God the woman is ok.
