Hey Everyone,
I had some of the same concerns that everyone on here that has progeny has posted. I have an Alfons son who just turned a year old a few weeks ago. I called Angsar a few times in the past while the pup was growing up and he was always very informative and helpful. I also have spoken with Julie Bridge a few times as well. Julie is a delightful person. The breeder that was a contact for me out here told me that Alfons was injured and put on prednisone (an corti-steriod) which caused heart failure. I dont think that is what happened. If an autopsy hasnt been performed, and the dog is as valuable as we all know he is, he could have been sold and this is all a scam.
As it was pointed out, Mentos is alive and well and he is a few years older than Alfons is. If anyone knows of any progeny from Alfons that has had any health issus i would love to know. But all in all i think owners of his pups should be comfortable knowing that there is no health problems in this bloodline.
