How come I always see cheaper prices on the intenet for these boxes and when I actually get them at pet shop they cost so much more.

No true! Check prices at Walmart or Tractor Supply Store. Even Petsmart has cheap prices on their own brand. Don't forget that you are also paying shipping when you order on the net. In addition, check with the airlines for their prices on dog crates. They often sell them as well.
