So I just got off the phone with my fiancee, who is on his way to pick up his nephew to go fishing, and decided to bring his male GSD with him for the ride. This dog has had some protection training, but is naturally very suspicious of strangers.
He's at a red light, his dog is hanging his head out the passenger window, and some guy pulls up next to him, sees his dog, and reaches his hand out of his window toward the dog (apparently it looked like he was trying to feed him something)! WTF?! So his dog is not exactly the buddy buddy type, and immediately blows up at the guy. My fiancee barely gets the window back up before the guy loses a few digits. At the next light, the jackass does it AGAIN, sits back and laughs while the dog is nearly throwing himself at the window to get to the guy.
Seriously, who the hell reaches out of their car towards another to touch someone's strange dog, especially a GSD?! To feed him something?? That moron is going to get bit one day and get some poor dog owner sued. I would have been sorely tempted to let my window all the way down and let the guy get whats coming to him, at the very least stepped out of my vehicle and given the guy an earful.
Since we had a bit of a vent post about people touching without permission recently, I thought I'd share this little adventure.

That reminds me of a cool night a few years ago when I had a couple of males locked in my pickup while it was parked on the street. I had been inside a business a half block away, and when I walked down the street I saw a couple of rednecks teasing the dogs through the windows of the topper shell and the dogs were trying to tear the windows out to get at these clowns.
As I came closer, I yelled for them to stop. One said "aw man, we was jus' playin' wid um" "Playing, huh?" I asked, "Do you want me to let them out so they can finish your game?" I did not get a taker for that challenge and the clowns shuffled down the street.
Stupid people are everywhere, and unfortunately most of them do not have "Stupid" written across their forehead. It just causes us more grief for the dogs when we are carefully out in public.
Regards,
Bob-O

KCzaja,
You never know what may motivate someone to mess with you these day's. It's the same with road rage.
Anything to get a rise outta someone. I crack my window, but never enough that my dog's could climb out. He's tried before.
A lesson learned.
