Just as a precautionary reading about feeding raw eggs to your dogs particularly egg whites ( a common mistake made if say, you are baking a cake and have used up only the yolks and thought....emmm..... the dogs can have the rest of the whites....uh, uh!!!!)
Quote: "Biotin: Biotin is the last of the B complex vitamins that we will detail. Biotin is one of the most discussed of all vitamins, primarily because of its role in maintaining healthy skin and hair. It does much more than this, as it is necessary for growth, digestion, and muscle function. In some animals, it has been linked to litter size.
Biotin deficiencies have been reported following the ingestion of raw egg whites. Raw egg whites contain an enzyme called avidin that acts to destroy biotin. It is best if raw egg whites are not fed to dogs or cats. Cooking inactivates avidin. The yolk is very high in Biotin and if the whole egg is fed, the avidin in the white and the high biotin in the yolk cancel each other out."

Everything in moderation generally works best in my experience.

My dogs get a raw egg every day with their morning meal (I feed raw). No eggshell because they get their calcium from the bones I feed in the P.M. I checked a number of sources, and I feel comfortable that the egg white issue is not a problem.

I feed mine raw egg in their food once a week, shell and all. Been doing it for a few years now. So far haven't had any problems. At least that I know of!

I don't believe I would feed egg's everyday, at least I don't. I use them sometime's just to break the boredom that feeding the same food everyday bring's. Shell, no shell, I've gone both way's. You just can't go wrong with an egg unless you over do it.
I agree with missbeeb, moderation in all thing's is a smart strategy.
I prefer local farm egg's over store bought anyday, for myself most of all.
Don't over think thing's, keep it simple. My best reason for feeding an egg is that it does help the dog's coat in my opinion.
To my way of thinking natural beat's man made any day of the week.
How many, how often?
One per week to one every other day.. depend's on what's in my fridge.

Yeah two moons I agree keep it simple, just brake out the repetition every now and than, to keep them wanting more :).
I feed one to two every week, sometimes with shell sometimes no shell, as well twice a week I add olive oil, apple cider vinegar, and natural yogurt with bacteria. I do blend vegies and freez them for few days than give it mixed with kibbles for my pup about 5% of her food, she seems to be better every day, I think vegies was one thing that I missed in my kibble.
