I just got an email from a friend who does rescues. She told me about a mulch sold at Home Depot which can be lethal to dogs. Instead of passing the email along, please read the "Snopes" article. Also, please pass this along to anyone who has pets in an area where this mulch may be used. http://www.snopes.com/critters/crusader/cocoamulch.asp

The risk associated with Cocoa mulch has had coverage before, and really if most people think about it seeing as cocoa is potentially lethal it is not surprising that a product made from its husks is also lethal.

Comercial mulch's are often treated and a bad choice.
I don't recommend wood chips are saw dust of any kind .
