Hello all in the board,
Does anyone know the procedure to follow in sending a dog to Europe? i'm planning on to send a dog to Barcelona, Spain, and need some help in what stept to follow, what paperwork is required, what customs or the police needs once the dog arrives in the aiport before the dog clears and can be picked up by the new owner,

1st step will be to check to the status of shipping from the US to Spain. Look for information on the European Pet Passport system. If you comply with that hopefully the dog will not have to undergo quaranteen.

Are you sending the dog or flying with the dog?
You need to get the health certifcate from your vet as well as the USDA form competed - that will ship with the dog. When you make flight arrangement, go as straight through as possible and avoid Pari (CDG).
I shipped my male with me when I was working in Holland. We flew into Frankfurt, from San Fran with no issues.

don;t get into the mess. Hire an Agent if you can afford and if it is very urgent.
