I over heard a registration issue when I went to meet a dog breeder, it wasn't involving his dogs but was talked among the others who was there. The KC had refused to register an imported dog despite the paper work all been there. What would be the right thing to do. What would you do? 1) Breeder/ importer had offered to return the monies provided the dog is returned 2) Owner wants a refund plus wants the dog 3) Breeder/ importer return portion of the monies

I would either have them return the dog with everything it came with then would refund money or if they want to keep said dog I would give a partical refund AFTER sproof that said dog has been spade/neutered

Breeder/Importer to initially try and resolve issues with the KC - should be good reason not to register the dog.

As for refund - was the dog imported at the request of the purchaser?  was the dog sold after it was imported etc. That would determine refund levels, if the buyer wanted the dog imported then no refund should be necessary if it was sold with birth country correct registration.

If sold after importing , then different matter as I would expect the importer to have sorted paperwork before sale.
