How many times has your dog boinked during the recall? - Page 1

Just curious...as to how many people have had their dog recall too fast, and boink you in the no-no place?  My girl has only done it once, which was enough to scare me... when I worked at PetCo in the grooming salon, a girl had a black lab hit her and she ended up having to have surgery.  Ouch....

Just once and with teeth. I held the tug right there in front of me instead of up chest high like usual. I guess he took that as a sign to just take it, instead of "wait" for the reward. And people think I'm crazy cuzz I wont hold a ball under my chin, hell I wont even drop from my armpit for fear he will come up so fast, miss the ball and get my arm. He's only 2 and I have more than a lifetime of bruises.

I have to say I had an entirely different picture of "boink" .... but by any definition the answer would be never.  I've been bitten on the hand and arms many times. A friend got her cheekbone broken when she bent down to pet her male at the same time he leaped up to kiss her. His hard German head was harder than her cheekbone.

I actually made a typo, meant to say "boinked you"  in the topic, duh... I also didn't know how to word it either, lol....   My girl, who is also 2 has nipped me a couple times by accident.. ball or tug too close.. but I expect that, accidents happen.

Fun topic, but why limit it to recalls????  In any case, it's nice to  know I'm not the only one who has been "boinked" whether it be on the chest, arm, chin, cheek, crotch.....the list goes on!

I got a sound lession the first time I introduced my girl to the sleeve.  Just prior to the decoy approaching her a dog came up behind us (on the other side of the fence barking).  She saw him but turned her interest to the decoy and barked at him.  The decoy told me to praise her and pet her sides while she was trying to get to him & the sleeve.  WELL she got my hand before I knew what was going on!!!!  This was her first time and mine to this so it opened BOTH our eyes.  Thank God she is level headed enought to know she had mom and let go quick, very little damage or blood was spilled. :o) 

I also got a black & blue cheek when I bent over to love on her & she was coming up to love on me.  The problem is she is faster than me and much stronger.  I don't think it hurt her a bit.  ;o)  So far no other body parts have been assulted, I hope it stays that way.

Only the other week Young Goran went for the ball as i took it from the pouch it was aemi dark and he took my hand instead pulled back the skin on the top of my hand two inches long plus two teeth holes

made me jump a bit and its still not healed up, but one of many scars and i bet more to come
