i am trying to find out why there seems to be a lack of entries on this site for quality working dogs within the UK, obviously the problem of pet passports stops good young dogs coming into this country, are their working line breders in the uk, i'm sure there are but can anybody point me in their direction.

Thanks Leigh

HI Leigh

There are plenty of good working line dogs in UK.  Where are you looking and any particular bloodlines?

Who are some other working kennels in UK?

In my own kennels I have

Kobold v Karthago, Esa v Buren, Dunja v Andi, Ashley z Eurosport, Linda Cerny Obelisk, plus direct progeny of Atom Banasi, Hanniball v  Kronen Drei, Rex v Heidgrund, Alope Krasicka , Xatoh v Haus Sevens and, for the really brave, Pasco v Peko Haus.

Just a few that jump to mind because I know them personally are Lakatamia (Adrian Hornsby), Vomhausnye (Stuart Nye), Vytensa (Tom Nye), Kovert (Earl Noel), Hausbailey (Jackie Bailey), Woolshan (Dave Wooles),  Audifax (Malcom Pearce) and Pawel Skusa whose kennel name I can't remember, plus Mayanser who I don't know personally, but have seen a nice pup with excellent pedigree from him recently.  Apologies to those who I haven't included, no slight intended, just running off a few off the top of my head to show there are the lines here in UK.  If fact, I doubt if there are any of the top working lines in Europe that are not available here in UK now.

was just in the UK for vacation and saw a very nice solid black, big bone, hard, working line male owned by Phil Sergarent (sp) in Wales.  I was amazed to find out that not many people have used this male.  If you are looking for something to use to improve the working ability of the GSD in the UK  this is a dog I would look at

I have full working line puppies at the moment born early September, of Sergio v Salztalblick SG Sch.H3 Kkl.1 Lebenzeit and also a litter from an Ajax v Rohnsaler Bach Sch.H3 Kkl.1 Lebenzeit, son, Neck v d Wolfen, out of quality, imported females.

So in answer to the thread, they're out there in the UK if you look......!!!!!!

I hadn't thought of mentioning my pups for sale, but since other people have, I have two pups available from Kobold v Karthago and Esa v Buren.  Sable dog and black/gold bitch, ready now, vaccinated an tattooed.  Video of Kobold training in Germany at 9 months old is on Youtube if you type in his name.

Phils dog is Argonne Bodo, Argonne is Ron White's line, then there is Vongraf (Earl Noel), Beckenberry (Sue Beel), Von Kyna (Chris Pilton)I could go on.

I have a very nice grandson of Asko von der lutter.............

Is this is fishing expedition?

Are you referring to the apparent dearth of dogs/litters in the UK being advertised?

If so you may find this is because litters are prebooked and sold via other media.............
