http://www.shepherdrescue.org/pages/ford1.html          There is a link to a video of him also.

I know this stuff happens but I just can't fathom the cruelty that humans have.  I would personally kick the ass of the person that had this dog if I knew who it was.  But I can't so I'll just have to help another way.

Thanks Shelley,

I don't work for VGSR but I did adopt the dog in my avatar from them.  They do good things and are good people.

I only wish I could do more for GSD rescues.

A little update.  When I went to the petsmart to get my dogs a pic with Santa you will never guess who was there....Yes it was Ford and his fur has almost completely grown in and he is doing great.  I couldn't help but to go up to him and give him a big hug and some pets.  He is a pretty good looking boy now and he seems as nice and gentle as can be (considering his circumstances).

I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw him and the lady that is taking care of him said this is what $1500.00 of medication and care will get you.  So anyone who donated on this board can be proud of themselves that they helped a good dog get better.

there are too many really ugly rescue situations out there. i'm glad to hear he's doing much better. i just sent a donation to my favorite gsd rescue. they've dealt with some horrendous dog abuse issues too. even though it's an incredibly bad economic time for just about everyone, please remember the shelters and rescues - even old towels and blankets and a bag of cheap dog food is very very welcome. God bless all the people who go above and beyond to rescue, care for and foster these dogs.
