Breeder Prejudiced and disrespectful towards my sister because she rents - Page 1

My sister works as a Receptionist and Manager of a Vet Office.   She is very knowledgable about dogs and a very responsible person.   She rents, and keeps her home and yard immaculate.   My sister has one mixed breed dog, and desperately wants a GSD.  My sister's landlord said it would be fine if she obtained another dog and is a lover of GSD's himself.

My sister contacted a breeder of GSD's.  She e mailed this breeder no less than 4 times, and filled out their puppy application in detail.  The breeder turned my little sis down, and basically told her in a condescending manner, she was a second class citizen because she rents.  My sis wants the puppy so bad that she has sent this breeder a copy of her lease, in hopes she will be allowed to purchase the puppy.

Has anyone ever heard of such a judgemental breeder?   I thought our society was past such Anti-Rental Prejudices, but I guess I was wrong.  This breeder is a bonafied Anti-Rentite!

Any breeder has right to sell his/her pup to who ever they want, but I agree that judging people solely on her living arangments is stupid, but than we all make bad judgments all the time.

Hey, don't color us all by the same paintbrush.  Molly and I are arm wrestling for the honor of selling your little sis a puppy.

Heck, if she knows how to train, I have a one year old neutred male she can have who is a pretty good dog! He would make a wonderful burglary alarm and 911 rescue dog if he's stupid enough to come on in.  911 as in "Help me Oskar!"

Yeah I've met breeder's like the one you mention,  and worst.

I tell myself they can shove it up their arse and I'm better off without them.

There is alway's someone who think's they are better, smarter, wealthier, more important than you.

They aren't, and it's not worth the effort to convince them they are wrong.   Just know they will get their reward someday.

Anyway yeah it really piss's me off too.

There's my two cent's.

They say it's a free country... nevertheless, no matter how unfair it is, it's something breeders can do just as an employer can "fire at will." I expect that you will be recieving offers of puppies for your sister from various breeders. If there is a particular type of GSD she is looking for, I have my own connections to various reputable breeders. I know of a lovely puppy that I am kind of a go between for, and if this client is not interested, it is a steal considering its rather exceptional pedigree. Feel free to keep in touch!

I rented property to live on for no less than 4 years when I came to PA, before I bought my house here, probably end up doing it again before long... Sure glad nobody treated me like that!
