Conratulations to the organizers of this fine event and all the participants who showed their fine dogs! It was a super event, everyone so friendly and welcoming, event the weather was super. Herr Dux did a super job judging, taking the time to watch every dog closely both in the stands and in the gaiting portion before making his final decisions, as usual.
I want to congratulate especially my friend Meghan and her gray working dog Kessy on earnig SG3 in her first show EVER. I'm sure we'll be seeing a lot more of Meghan around the rings in the future. Meghan is an incredibly talented young SchH trainer with a huge future in front of her.
Here are a couple of pix of Meghan's female, old Auntie Shelley (gloves on!) trying her best to show this extremely high-drive young female to her best advantage. A couple more ring training sessions and she ought to have this show-thing down pat. :-D

CONGRATS !!!! GOOD FOR YOU & HER !!! PRETTY DOG TOO !

You should see Meghan and this bitch work! A lesser trainer would be in over their head with that little ball of fire. I only wish they lived closer and I had the where-with-all to hire Meghan full time here with a nice fat salary. I'm getting too old for this crap. LOL

Shelley -
I think those shorts were the reason the judge made you run so much :D
I had fun at the show. I did feel a little out of place being the only one there without a showline dog! I think I got a few dirty looks as people figured out I was actually showing that THING at the end of my leash but maybe it was all in my head LOL
I can't thank Shelley enough for her ring training help, advice, and handling! It really made all the difference and I couldn't have done it without her.
I'm so proud of Kessy, she's an amazing dog in every way, and I wouldn't trade her for anything. She always impresses me with how quickly she learns things and the ring training was no exception! We are going for her Schh1 in two weeks and hopefully that goes well too!
BTW sorry about the black and white photos - my husband was taking the pics and didn't notice the camera was set to greyscale...ugh! The second pic with the pond in the background would have been beautiful! Oh well, what can ya do.

It wasn't the shorts so much as the hot orange finger nails I'm thinking. LOL Nice NOT to be the only one on the grounds with a gray show dog for a change, although Kessy looks/acts a lot like any of several I own. Special thanks to the rascal who yelled out the window of their vehicle on the way out of the parking lot that I ought to train the dogs I handle for the ring more. (Gee, I hadn't noticed... ;) I'll getcha for that someday, Young whipper-snapper. Next time I get to the last beer in the cooler and yours is empty... and you have your "cute thirsty puppy" look on, all sad like... Guess what? LOL
Ahhhhhh... Burp!

Looking forward to the show/trial in Long Island this weekend now. I can't believe I am taking 7 dogs BY MYSELF. (again) 4 in the trial, 5 in the show. I really need to have my head examined.
