Sad, I hope they find the people that killed her. Condolences to her family, friends, and co-workers.

I'm very sorry to hear about the loss of that officer. I know too well the feeling of losing a friend and fellow officer. My prayers and thoughts go out to her family and her coworkers. Traffic stops present unknown risks and can be very dangerous. I learned this rule on traffic stops and abide by it everday: Extend the olive branch of kindeness to everyone you meet on a traffic stop; but have a tactical plan in place to kill everyone in that vehicle if you need too. Sounds harsh, but it is the reality of our modern world. I've been to 2 funerals this year for police officers I knew, one was a very close friend and I was there when he was killed.
God bless that Officer's family and friends.

I am sorry for the faily and friends of the officer.
On the lighter side, I have a very funny story. When I was young I did a very dumb/dangerous thing at a car stop. I was out with friends it was approx 1 or 2 am and I was alone driving home on the Freeway, I saw the "dreaded" light behind me and began to pull over as I came to a stop I began thinking, as I am watching the officer get out of his vehicle, This is not a good spot for him to be out of his car. So I pulled out and and went to an exit and pulled off the freeway then pulled over. this officer was so upset and was accusing me of pot, alcohol, did I throw something out of my car! I was so upset with him I began yelling at him, did he think it safe to pull over and get out of his car on a freewway with a bunch of drunks on the road this time of night, did he not think of his family. By this time I am yelling at him not understanding why he would be upset with me and why he looked as thou he was going to throttle me, I will never forget the look on his face!!
I am really not that niave, just a brain fade that day.

Update:
The person that killed the officer killed another also. The upside is the bad guy was killed resisting arrest. Thanks to LEO's who responded correctly and stayed alive themselves. I'm glad they got the guy, very sad he killed somebody else first.

Very sad for this officer, family, friends and co-workers. My prayers will be with them all. It is hard to understand everything officers go through during the course of their shift and careers. My boyfriend is often closed mouthed about things, mostly because he just doesn't want to re-live them in his mind. I'em a firefighter/paramedic and both professions see more than any human should have to see and deal with. God bless the ones she left behind and I hope someone takes her K9 under their wing.
