If anyone has done business with Cannine Enterprises beware. I sold a dog to them in July for $2000.00 the agreement was to let them try the dog out for a week, then if they liked him to send the funds. It was a gentlemens agreement. After 20-30 times trying to contact Buddy Lawson in late August, he finally made contact with me and sent $1000.00 and agreed to pay the balance in ten days. Since August he has not answered my calls or made any effort to contact me on the remaining 1000.00. I have noticed on Cannine Enterprises web site and this web site that he contiues to sell pups and older dogs. Which makes me wonder why he has not paid the balance on the K9 that is mine and is now in his possesion. Beware of Cannine Enterprises.

That musta been one hell of a dog for $2000, and he could test drive it for a week?

I couldn't find a Cannine Enterprise's website maybe you could furnish the link..

I got bored figured I'd log on for a bit.    A gentlemen's agreement huh?

Still owe's a grand since August, it's what?   Sept. 18,   What's he doing with the dog anyway?  Just curious.

What kind of dog is it anyway?

Some people just don't play by the rule's .

No offense but it was real stupid to release a dog without full payment first. In war its best to stay on a hill and you were not on a hill.

Good luck.

Spinerau,

I guess I mean I'm glad I'm not doing 2 thousand dollar dog deal's on a gentlemen's agreement.

I'm glad raising dog's isn't a business to me.

I'm glad my whole world doesn't hinge on a reputation that can be damaged so easily..

I'm glad no one owe's me $1000 dollar's, I could get real serious in a hurry over that much money.

Mainly I'm glad I have at least a little common sense.

I wouldn't parade my dirty laundry around in public.

Actually, I'm in a really strange way the last few day's and I don't know what I mean..

Somehow nothing seem's right to me at the moment.

Brent.

I was raised that your word was your reputation and basically you.  A gentleman's agreement is fine if you are dealing with a gentleman or lady.  I have purchased two GSD's from the same breeder.  She allowed me to make a deposit and then monthly payments.  Once they were paid in full I received my AKC papers.  There is risk in those types of agreements but they are doable if both people are honorable.  The breeder of my dogs took a chance because she didn't know me from Adam.  I appreciated it and repaid her by sticking to our agreement, mailing & emailing her photo's and giving her updates weekly.  We get together to train periodically and have become friends.  I guess I took a chance too, she could have kept their AKC papers if she decided to.

There are still gentlemen and lady's in this old world.  Unfortunately they are few and far between.  I am sorry to hear about your bad luck and hope it can be resolved.  It is unfortuneate that this person doesn't realize they are hurting themselves along with their reputation for future dealings in the long run.  I guess this is what happens when someone like yourself, who was raised with integrity deals with someone without any and it is very hard to tell the difference when some people are such good liars.  :o(
