Our school book fair last night had a book called,

"Cracker! THE BEST DOG IN VIETNAM" by Cynthia Kadohata, (a Newberry medal -winning author.)

I just had to buy it for my 12 y.o son after seeing the German shepherd on the cover. My son kindly told me I could read it after he finished it. I couldn't wait this morning and instead of making the beds, I've already read the first hundred pages! It's a wonderful book so far.

So, I thought, maybe other folk out here might have a favorite GSD book, fiction or non-fiction,  that would be a welcome addition to a young childs library, (and maybe even my own!)? Please share if you do!

Estweyn, thanks!

I googled Joyce Stranger and was pleasantly surprised, to see she was a UK canine behaviourist and an author, of more than a few books starring GSD's. If anyone is curious here is the URL, as I can't seem to figure out how to make a link.
