I am first and formost a german shepherd person. I  was just wondering if  any of you have or know someone who has trained and titled a Labrador in schutzhund. Just curious.

Yes, there are 2-3 Labs titled to a SchH 3

Listed on the Schutzhund USA website  by breeds.  Youll work alot longer/harder titling one that a typical SchH Breed, imo

Yes - a local vet here (Denver CO) Dr. Gerald Pasek, titled a black lab to SchH3 back in the 70's or early 80's. It isn't what you would call usual - but it can be done...

In 1995 Petra Sporrer was the vice champion at the DHV Meisterschaft with a LAB and scored  290.  I've seen some tough ass Chessies who I'm sure could be titled

My mother in law had a black lab many years ago that she had doing schutzhund.  Although I can't say for sure if she ever titled him and would hate to assume she did I did see video of the dog doing bitework.  Quite different than seeing a GSD that's for sure. lol  I guess anything's possible??? LOL

A woman in Idaho trained and titled a black Lab, Licorice Rush, to a Sch 3. At the 96 (?) PNW Regionals, he put the gsds to shame in OB (HAPPY worker) and had one of the best protection performances. The labs from field trial lines have a lot of gumption and are relatively hard dogs (meaning that they can take even hard corrections and keep on ticking). If they don't have a "soft mouth" they are more than able to perform quite credibly in schutzhund.

There was a Standard Poodle I read about in Germany that took in High in Trial in 1973 (SchH 3)
