So my dog is 5 months old and little things are starting to become apparent to me and i was just wondering what some more expierenced people could tell me. Im very excited that he is starting to grow up by the way.
He is constantly near me. I cant go to the kitchen without him dropping what he is doing and following me. He will be dead asleep and wake up to follow me.
I also find him just looking at me or looking at something then to me to see if its ok for him to do what he wants like waiting for my approval.
When i leave for work my wife tells me that he sits by the door just chewing on something for 2hrs waiting for me to come back.
When we are on walks and other dogs are acting a fool he just looks at them. Doesnt bark doesnt lunge just will sit or stand and look at them until i say its time to go.
Whats does all this say about his temperment? Confident? Social? etc.....
Thanks.

IMO he is very bonded to you. Him looking at you constantly is a great thing. His focus is on you. He will be easy to train. He is showing a lot of confidence by just looking at the other dogs. He is not showing fear or being nervous by barking back at them. Have you done any bite work using a helper? Using a helper will really tell you if he is confident doing bite work.

O yea im training him for PPD and to do SchH as a fun sport thing. He has no problems biting things at strange places, he works by himself just fine, very athletic. We havent done bite work in about 1.5 months becasue he is teething and dont need him breaking a tooth playing tug and then having to build him back up.
