I have read a lot of negative comments on the Database about this dog from people that either have not seen him or do not know what a real tough dog is. I had the opertunity to stop in Alabama and visit with Marlene and Zidane on my way back from picking up my new Timo Vom Berrekasten daughter this past weekend. Now for those of you that think this dog is vicious or unstable or out and out mean, I will set the stage of the events as they occured. I was parked at the rest stop on Interstate 59-20 mile marker 40. Marlene pulls in with her van as I am walking my male and female in the grass. I put my female and male in the car and walked over to Marlenes van to see the female puppy she picked out of her july litter from Zidane for Yellow Rose. Zidane was raising hell in his crate as he seen me walk up from behind Marlene to see the puppy in the crate next to him. As any GOOD dog should. Marlene and I introduced our selves and checked out this beautiful dark, fuzzy, sable ball of Fire that was now 7 weeks old. She was out going as you get and sweet as honey with a tongue and tail going 90 miles an hour. Zidane at this point is watching Marlene and I converse and play with the puppy still in his crate and just watching us intently. I put the puppy in the crate in the front of my car and Marlene scans the area with her eyes to see that their are no other people or animals close by. Then she opens his crate and puts a leash on him and lets him out 6 feet from where I am standing. Zidane comes baleing out in front of me and goes to a heel-sit. Here is a big dark powerful son of a gun 90 lbs. plus 8 year old male with eyes that tell you he has no reverse and a body of solid muscle. Marlene lets go of the leash and tells Zidane to go potty. Now this guy is on his own checking out the sents and hiking on what ever smells good with her and I watching. Zidane carries himself in a very dominate, confident manner through the area knowing he has nothig to be alarmed about and is given me a second glance. Totally aloof to my presence. Marlene plays with him with his water bottle and puts him back in the van a few minutes later. This time when I approach the van he just watches to see what I am doing. No growl, no bark and allows me to walk up to his crate with just a keen eye on me. He did respond to my direct Eye contact when I gave it and growel a deep rumble and stopped when I stopped the Eye contact. I can say with out reservation to all that beleive some of the bull....! they have read on different sites this is NO VISCOUS DOG! Tough? YES, Confident? YES, Stout? YES Aloof? YES, Admirable? Deffinately! Mean? NO, Viscios? NO, An animal that cant be trusted with people? NO, More then most people can handle? YES!!! Marlene has ONE HELL OF A FINE DOG! And the puppy has as much prey and food drive as one can get, whining with enthusiasm as she eats and retrieves at all of 7 weeks. 40 plus years of German Shepherds and last week I saw one of only a few that would make the hair stand up on most trainers necks. It was a total delight to finally meet MR.ZIDANE VOM HAUS SEVENS. Sincerely, mahon

and it is with proudness that I will post the pic of that ball of perfect fir, when I get it downloaded..I have had no electricity, no phone , and trees down with in feet of my home, and a three acre mess , with no water, and only a generator to keep me head above water. 30 MINUTES  ago i got my lights and phone back...

There is only one thing got me hoppin last night and it is a little fireball, named  Zi Bossie Rubye vom Pfeifferhaus, named for Marlenes Mom who loved Zidane and passed away recently...next post will be her pic..she actually layed down for 5 minutes...she is outside vocally telling my neighbors she is here...she also has put 13 dogs, last count in their place...  7 weeks only here on this earth and she has taken control...and she gives kisses and bites at the same time..

BOSSIE HAS ACTUALLY LAID DOWN FOR A FEW MINUTES OF REST.  Bossie came equipped with the "energizer BUNNIE battery pack , and a heavy duty Bite WORK gunnie.

Thanks to Mahon for traveling to Alabama to get her, and to Marlene for her excellent care and producing such a healthy, happy, and dominant puppy.

I have had 3 breedings with Zidane and all have been great. Out of the 3 breedings there was a problem

with one pup. Everyone else that got a pup from this breeding is very happy with their pup. In fact I now

have nine pups from Zidane and they are are a week old. They appear to be very similar to the two previous

breedings. A great dog!!

Yellowrose, glad to hear you're okay after the storm!  Congratulations on your new baby!  I have a 4 year old son of Mr. Zidane that I only got two months ago.  Can't say enough good things about him.  Definitely a "once in a lifetime" type of dog.  I hope your girl makes you as happy as my boy makes me!

Thanks Hudson for that assurance.. I knew what I was getting...

My retirement just went down the creek with Ike...

My Konig would be proud that I filled his shoes with a little girl just like him...from another bloodline that will be as tough or tougher and as sound as he produced for me...Thanks to Larry Filo..
