What happened to Teejay in germany? does anybody know?
by mad on 15 September 2008 - 12:09
don't know if he was there but if he was he probably ran off when he saw the helper!

Has this dog ever competed at a regionals or nationals for the work?

Teejay did not make the trip to Germany. Quizno did not compete either. Dogs are pulled for a variety of reasons. Doesn't matter why. All this banter about why Quenn did not compete, or Zamp, - did these people really expect an answer? For what ever reason, they were not shown. Done and over with.

I have seen VA Teejay in person close up and watched his bitework. I like his temperament and believe that he is sound. Any dog can have an off day, especially if the training emphasis is to win in the showring. When I saw him compete at NASS in 2007 his bitework was very good and he acted calm and easy going around strangers including myself, with no apprehension or fear, but total confidence. The puppies that I have seen out of VA Teejay seemed to have good temperament also. I believe that VA Teejay is a very worthy GSD and many I know would feel very grateful to own such a fine GSD. I don't like many but I do like VA Teejay.

Preston , your comment shows that your knowledge about the characters of a GSD is very limited , TJ is a nice family dog and a very nice showdog , but the SCHH 3 behind his name is a joke , and a failure in the courage test , has nothing to do with a bad day or other nonsense, its just a very weak dog

Famke50 and you show how much youknow, if the sch3 is a joke behind me than you could make an argument that all sch3 are a joke. He might not be top sch dog but his title is not a joke, as you trying to make it sound.

Poor Preston. Couldn't even earn his USA Sports Medal in Gold till 1984. Titled his first dog to a SchH 3 some 20 years ago.Shame he doesn't know anything about temperament and working ability. I guess we can call all the great dogs he imported, trained and titled "beginner's luck." You guys need to do your homework before you hit the "submit" button.

Good post, Shelley. Preston has forgotten more than most know or think they know.

You right Shelley and Preston, let me correct my self SCH as a whole is a joke (at least that’s what Preston is implying, since Teejay has a SCHIII and that title behind him is a joke according to Preston, and some of you agree with him 100% than you can make a claim based on his observation that SCH is a joke as a whole, since it let that joker have that kind of a title). I was questioning Preston reasoning, rather than the fact if Teejay deserves the SCHIII or not. Show line is not my thing, and SCH is disappointing, I don’t see it as a true test of a dog character, but I am not against it, I just think that SCH needs to (at least in USA) get out of the whole that it got itself in. I would like to see more diversification; I don’t like the idea that the test is so standardized. So sorry for my previous post, I should clarify my response before posting, but so should Preston by giving his reason behind his observation on Teejay. Thanks.
