my pup developed a limp on his right front leg when he was about 4 1/2 mnths old.Took him in for xrays and vet says joints look great. She says it was growing pains. He is a big boy she says he is growing to fast I'm feeding him canidea all stages low in protein.Vet tells me he'll grow out of it.Well he is 6 months old and time to time he will start limping a little when he gets very active.Has anyone every have this problem with a pup and what did you do to help correct it? I did just post his pic on his pedigree<pic taken @ 5 months old> .Been working on his stacking any input would be nice. Here is his pedigree

Many threads have been thru here on pano or panosteitis.. do a search and you will find lots of info... it's also called wandering lameness, long bone disease.. they do grow out of it, but it can caome and go for some time.
There is so much info in the archives, it would be silly to try to tehash it.. happy reading!!

My male has Pano from 4 mths to 8 mths. It went back and forth from one leg to another for 4 mths. He grew out of it and is not 8 yrs old with no problems

If the X-Rays were taken at 4 1/2 months old I would redo them..
You can't say that the elbow is clear of ununited anconeal process before the age of 20 to 24 weeks cause they are not fused completly before that. If he always limp from the same paw..redo the X-ray to be sure.
with pano the limping go from paws to paws...not always the same..
