Yes, he is very good looking but what is he like on the inside. Would like to see a video of him working, it is better then just seeing a stack pic. I am not in agreement of mixing working/show so I would have to see the dog in person and even then I would have to see many more to say it is good to mix the two together. JMO

His progeny is also very good, in structure. I agree with Densie as well though, I would like to see a video of the dog working & gaiting please. However i like the structure & colour as well as size of him & his progeny. Once i hav sene a video of this dog, i would be able to comment better.

What is the goal of a breeder when he/ she mixes working with showlines? Is the goal to create beautiful GSDs with high drive and character? If that's is so then I am for it. But if the drive and the character will be the price, then I prefer the working lines the way they are.
I also want to see that dog working to get a sense of his performance and character.

I have seen crappy dogs with nice scores along with shitty ones with nice scores so what is in a score book means nothing to me. I would like to see what is INSIDE the dog and a video would be nice but still not enough for me to say mixing w/s is a good thing for the breed. It will take years before you can say this is a good thing and then more to see if it passes on through generations.
I don't want to bring this up again about mixing show and working because it is like beating a dead horse and there are plenty of threads on this anyways.

Max zu den grauen Birken is a wonderful dog still really in the protective service is and has a really great being. I might experience Max 2 weeks ago live because I was a Flora von der Dunieschenke with him to the deck with my bitch. He is a dog with him no wish stays open!
