is it just me or does there seem to be a changing of the guard going on here on the database?   it seems that the "watchdogs" (and i use that term with good intentions) have had their fill of the regular b.s.  on the board.   for those who have been around for awhile it has been seen many times in the past.  how many well known breeders, trainers, and fanciers have come and gone?

i know that there are many other boards out there, but i cant think of any that have this much information all in one place, good work oli - keep it up.

just an observation,

john the JAFO

i'm an utter lightweight, but i hardly even "lurk" cuz of all the bs. maybe if the promised departure of at least one will help bring the really informed posters back on a regular basis. and while we probably have all participated in some of the politcal threads, i find it kind of embarrassing that its only the americans who think that their politics are so damned important that they have to post on a dog board. o well.

I miss Louise Penery(sp?). Her posts were always informative. Hope she's doing well, & just tired of the baloney. If she is lurking, I send her my best wishes. jh

My thoughts exactly. I am too busy training these days to keep up with most of this silliness anyway.

I think,

If what you say is true,  it has more to do with the vicious personal back biting and bashing,  the name calling,  accusing, and foul language, then there's the legal dispute's played out here also,   than just the topic of any given thread.

It's not about American's, or politic's, it's about live's.

People post off topic thread's because they need diversity as much as this breed everyone claim's to love so much.

These people you miss seeing so much might very well be waiting for some real substance. Or they might actually be busy living the life.   If I was top dog I might try to be helpful but I don't believe I would be sharing my trade secret's with everyone.  They may just be waiting for someone to ask the right question.   They may think they are above this.  Some people retire, pass on or move on.

There are many new face's here in just the time I have been around.     And I still see many who were here long before me.

People will come and go , and come again as new people continue join as well.   I think this is just the nature of thing's.

There was plenty of BS when I got here and I don't think it's anything new.    Trolls will alway's come and go , nothing new there either.

There are several interesting and informative topic's that are right on going on right now.   It's well worth logging on.

Moon's.

Moons, you are part of the problem and you love it.

I also miss the rational posts Louise Penery (sp?) (now there is a voice of reason!) and others who no longer post here.

I am new to this site and Schutzhund and would love to know the links to any other sites that are giving good advice for training, etc.  I have been told many different ages to start a GSD in Schutzhund.  Some suggest no protection work until the dog is around 2 years old, this sounds VERY slow to me?????  What are your ideas?

I have a 16 month old female GSD and have started obedience with her.  What is the general belief; start all 3 phases of Schutzhund together or start with obedience and don't move to protection until the dog has it's BH????  One trainer believes starting both together and the other doesn't????
