Kids and their dogs - Page 1

I am moving soon and cleaning out the house and I came across this photo and wanted to share.  This is my cousins little girl, Avery and her German Shepherd Asha.  Asha was a full litter mate to my late Dante.  I love watching Avery with Asha.  She makes her run through her heeling and sit and plotz.  We caught this photo at the edge of my house I am living in now.

That is sooo beautiful, look at those eyes, both little girl and dog getting a cuddle.... lovely.   Mo

There's something so precious about a child with their dog.  I remember all the dogs we had while I was growing up as a little girl.  Since I was an only child the dogs were my playmates, best friends.  Ok, so they were Beagles lol  but those poor dogs put up with me dressing them up in clothes, polishing their toe nails, setting up "tea parties", I have so many great memories of them.  My grandmother had a dog I will never forget, she was a Pekinese; that dog was EVIL.  She hated kids, hated everyone except my grandmother. 

I hope my kids always remember their dogs and the fond memories they're giving them.  Thanks for sharing your pictures, they're adorable.
