Greeting, and request to all what are concerned for quality of life for GSD, and honour of breeders. We have work to do. Must make stop operation like this von Ajaye what have big big commitment, interest, skill, make big work in make money on internet site through GSD. But not show real interest or not make proper care for GSD? Sometime not make proper sale. Poor dogs. Poor puppies. Poor owners. From information in messages, Ajaye have only small or maybe not any interest in proper way to look after or be responsible for proper sale of GSD. Look like Ajaye a"cyber-kennel", owner Melissa Kolbe, have just big interest and big skill to sell, but just to take money for anything - or nothing. No refunds. Not matter if dogs or pups. What care? Poor GSD if go through this salesperson, like sell watches, not live, trusting dogs, what are total depending on people who hold or sell them. In Show in USA hear someone with an Ajaye dog was ask about dog, say "breeder say this pup from Bo last litter so no more this motherline", was maybe from last Bo/ Zambi (Lasko von Kirchen Dorf) litter?. Female was born maybe spring 2003 my guess. Is gsdwins problem dog more old or younger? In Germany hear this Dirk Gabriel trying to become showline judge. Makes big money to travel and judge if success to qualify. What sense to make business with puppy mill operation, like Ajaye? Why not make business with active breed, train and show operation what is make success and can see much in USA? Make a big question about how can trust such a man? He maybe have same type not-in-my-home operation. Was told he Big Businessman, travel much away, only maybe 2 dog at home. Maybe have no real kennel facility, just kennel name of Quartier Latin. Makes breeding but not have dogs to live with him? Just send out dogs to others for he make breed and they hold dam and raise pups. Where? basement, garage, kennel? Was told he used to train much in schutzhund, not so anymore, just showline. Agree if people have make business with Melissa Kolbe or Ajaye "internet-kennel", or Ajaye "cyber-kennel" and not happy with experience or with dogs, should make a contact to your site gsdwins@yahoo.com or sunshine. Maybe if numbers of hurt people is big, then AKC listen. Maybe SV listen? It take only smart IT person, even hacker, what is making big work on internet to create such web pages and sites to make such a site like Ajaye, maybe not even know about dogs. Maybe just get fed information to put into spaces, rest of fancey schmancy look of site all just internet art work. Not dog work. If look at Ajaye sires page she not own ANY of dogs listed! She not keeping either these dogs. These just dogs got used sometime. Ship female to breed. She present a page to make reader think she got kennel full of great males... not so many under any one German roof! Maybe same on dams? She got no roof anyway! Just RV. In America like to think big? Much for think about. Much to do. Still need find Bo and Lissa. Anyone information for share here or to sunshine or to gsdwins? Sorry for long posts. Subject make my heart to hurt.

Hi Lars....I am new to this site and have read some of the old threads on this subject and more..I see in some past ones people were addressing someone as "Ajaye"...but not regarding these threads..so I know she reads this..why has she not responded to defend or explain herself...???? What can we do to help these people who have been hurt by this woman and the others associated with Ajaye kennels? Can we petition the AKC and the SV and anyone else who matters? What about kennel inspections, am I wrong or aren't there laws about this..or is it state to state? Or maybe there is no inspection cuz there is no kennel... Anyway..I just feel we should help these dogs and these people who have been burned by them.. Any ideas???? "you've got to stand for something"...and this is something...

I believe the owner of this kennel may well be a member of the United Schutzhund Clubs of America and the WDA-GSDCA. She has recently shown at a Sieger Show. At the very least, WDA has a breeders' code of ethics, as an associate of GSDCA. Neither organization would want people associated who are disreputable. So for those of you banding together to fight this alledged disreputable breeder, these are two organizations you can address your grievances to. As far as the AKC, they could care less. All they care about is money from registrations sent in. They could care less about whether the dogs mated are healthy or titled or indeed, even breed worthy. However, directing a written complaint to them is worth a try. Specifically ask for the breeding ethics complaint department. The SV can do little unless the kennel and the owner of this kennel actually does business through the SV, or it can be proven that the owner does business with someone who lives in Germany and who KNOWS of the business practices of the person living here. In any case, that grievance would have to be pursued in Germany. If indeed it can be proven that there is a problem, not just with one client, but many, then the best thing to do is for all of you to band together, remain committed and put time, energy and money to try to put the kennel out of business. There are many ways to go about this, including using the Internet as a tool, running ads in local newspapers where this person lives etc. The sad thing is that the "crimes" are difficult to prove and the burden of proof lies with those of you who say you have been cheated. If you do not have your ducks in a row, nothing will come of this effort. If you do not remain united, nothing will come of it and once again, next year and every year we will hear about this and the other dishonorable breeders. Most people are simply too lazy to see things through, even when they have a legitimate grievance.

Actually, AKC may be the route to go, they frown on brokers and she will have to have all her paperwork in order as well as having any dogs that are on the premises clearly idnetified. I know that if a person is suspended form AKC they are usually atomatically suspended from GSDCA, don't know about WDA. ALso don;t know what SV, USA will do. Good luck, she definately gives credence to the people who feel that German dog importers are shaky at best. Susan

Lars...this puppy was born in summer of '2004..I beg others to contact me with documented problems resulting from sales from Melissa Kolbe dba Shepherds Von Ajaye

by sunshine on 12 December 2004 - 21:12

Hodie, just to clarify, Melissa Kolbe does not show her own dogs. If she were at any Siegershow over the past year, it is news to me. She is only in attendance with Dirk Gabriel. She neither trains or shows dogs without Mr. Gabriel, or his other German friends Marina and Thomas at her side. So, Hodie, Melissa Kolbe was simply absent from the 2 Siegershows (WDA and USA)in 2004. She also was not present at the German Siegershow although a big trip to Germany in 2004 was planned with her Team SVA. There was one dog at the USA Siegershow, but this dog was not handled by Mr. Gabriel. The dog is also not on the the website, amazingly enough although he happens to have a super placement. Wonder why? Sunny

OMG, is this the same Dirk Gabriel that has a 6-9 pup entered at the 2008 Canadian Sieger Show?

Louise

My Deejay's Dam is out of Dirk lines from the Ripoff Queen Melissa, a real paperwork nightmare took years.

Now Shelley has been selling Quartier Latin dogs for Dirk Gabriel in the USA.

Deejays_Owner: Now Shelley has been selling Quartier Latin dogs for Dirk Gabriel in the USA.

Aha, so you also noticed the Shelley's "German connection"--LOL. She's gotta be one helluva lot more trusting than I would be.

Hey, Brian--glad that you mentioned this instead of me.

by Louise M. Penery on 19 July 2008 - 09:07

Well, Deejays_Owner, perhaps not SSDD--now that one of the parties is now reportedly and SV judge!
