Hi,

Can I make a living only from dog sport competion? Assuming my dog makes it to the top three everytime.

Thanks,

Mikee

What are you going to do to support yourself while obtaining this goal?

"top three everytime"----This means you are going to compete in the Nationals, N.A., AWDF, H.O.T. etc ?  That's alot of time training and traveling.  Airfare/gas, hotels, and food cost alot.  How do you plan on financing your takeover of the sport?

You gotta understand that most of the guys that make a living at this had to go through this to get where they are.  People aren't going to immediately want you for a seminar etc. until you prove yourself.  Most of the people that make a living through dogs, did it gaining respect through several different dogs over time.  I don't know anyone that takes the first dog and places at multiple National events.

Just a question, but how old are you?  I am going to guess you are a young man.  You seem to be filled with dreams and once you hit a certain age, those dreams are placed on a back burner.

Keep dreaming and good luck to you!   Remember, Ricky Bobby, second place is only the first loser.

Just a few questions that I would ask : Who is going to put up the front money until you are on your feet and running?  Who is going to buy the groceries when you or your dog is injured.  It takes years to get experience and get your name out there. If you are young think about getting as much education you can. No one can take your education away from you and you can fall back on it when needed.
