I would like to know peoples views on this, A woman who is a trainer at training class has a Utonagan and then purchased a white long coat GSD and mated her to a Utonagan  when i asked why use a shepherd as the dam her answer was its to strenghten the breed, She sold the pups and she called them PRE utonagans for £500 surly they are cross breeds, she has kept one pup and plans to show her in little shows, For those who havent seen the breed take a look.

I saw some wolf 'look-a-likes' advertised on Epupz that were located in Devon, UK, for sale at £750 each, which are in fact, cross-breeds! Their breeder was offering delivery and various 'interest-free' payment options!

Where would you show such an animal?

I don't know the percentage's of these cross's, but I wouldn't think you'd use a white GSD to maintain the look.

If nothing else they are handsome to look at.      I wonder if anything else goes into the breeding criteria other than the look.

Oh well to each his own.

Give it 5-10 years and then "Coming to a Puppy Shop Near You" for $2500-$3000

Looks like another designer breed, but, this one will have GSD, Husky, and Malamute. All breeds of dogs that can be a bundle to handle in the wrong hands. Now we are compounding it by not knowing what to expect from any of them.

BRILLIANT!

Sorry yellowrose i just wanted to hear what other people thought of GSD's being used for things like this as this is a site for GSD's, Have we got to exclude certain aspects?

Waya, it's a mutt-breed.  Developed for looks, and probably by people who don't train.  I think YR is right on the spot.

These are strong, large and sometimes aggressive breed's, I see the point that in the wrong hand's they are trouble waiting to happen.    A heavy coat make's them a liability in warm climate's, I have a friend here with a real Alaskan Husky brought home with him from Alaska and the heat is a real problem for him.

I agree it is a designer breed but I will also admit finding them attractive.

I would not ever pay anymore for them than back yard GSD's, 300 to 400 dollar range.

There are other breed's striving to look like wolve's for the same reason, Appearance.

I dunno, I dont have room to talk being that I'm looking to breed a black GSD because I like a black.
