Has anyone seen themselves or heard of a case where one of the mates has killed the other while in the act of mating?
Are these unstability in the dog. What aggression levels etc etc
please comment
cheers

I have never heard of anything like that,I may be wrong but i would think it highly unlikely. If it is true then there must have been something drasticly wrong for this to happen. What makes you ask the question?

I have gone through some canine research papers and in unpedigreed dogs these behaviours have been documented. I have lost the paper now and do not have access to it.

If you are talking about during the tie, that would be just about impossible. First, its not that easy for a dog to kill another dog who is close to their own size. Second, during the tie, a dog would not be able to use it's leverage or wrestling ability needed to strike Vital areas. I imagine if you had one of the dogs in tie, become super aggressive and go into a killing rage, if there was a huge size and weight advantage, then maybe. I just don't believe it.
I have seen breeders leave a bitch in heat unattended, in a run with a very dog aggressive male, and then come back hours later to a dead bitch.

Dog's can and do bite and fight at each other when tied but that's just from panic, Abhay is right there would be no way for one to kill the other while tied. Beyond that anything is possible. I hold my dog and stay right with them during breeding.
They wont part until they relax.
Abhay,
I think your avatar is speaking to me... I keep hearing , Let's Party!!

Two Moons, Get a hold of yourself!! (not literally)........remember, you are a Chief Inspector, for the P.A.G.P. Don't let a nice pair of Wheels in a black leather Mini, make you throw it all away.

Zilla v Wiethurchen killed a male she was mated to ..Larry Filo and Rick Ford, had her and she was mated later to Sg Cadette v BusckerScloss. They had to muzzle her after that . I think she might have killed another and they knew then she had to be muzzled...I have heard stories from German breeders, that ii is more common than we know.
Zilla was titled in Germany . They imported here and I know she killed once here.

If she killed a male, it would take her a damn long time. It sure wouldn't happen when the two were tied. I don't believe that for a second. Just how did all these killings happen? Even if this bitch had such a FREAK mouth, that she hits bleeders, the male isn't going to bleed out for a while. How can she hit bleeders when tied? Maybe one in the face. That isn't going to bleed out that male. For her to kill him by trauma, it has to be a long, long fight. Just wouldn't happen. I smell BULLSHIT.

Maybe she got on top and had him by the throat. I can't see dog's in the missionary position that's just kinky.
But seriously animals can hurt each other during mating.. dog's may need muzzle's, horse's need shackle's, you should see a pair of fox's go at it.
Personally I like cowboy girl on top with lotsa screamin !! And trimmed finger nail's.
Sorry I can't help it, it's that damned avatar !!
