I am in need of two bark collars. I am looking at Dogtra series. My question is I like the smaller box on the 300Y but wanted to know if anyone has used this one on their dogs? I don't think it will take a large stimulus to shut them up when needed but the other one, the 500Y, it seemed much bigger. Any suggestions?

I have 3 of the 500 Models and they are great. They have the 7 settings and so far I have never had to use above 3.

I use the YS300's on the girls that need collars. I also used the 500's before, I'm finding the 300's work just as well for them, and these are high drive barking girls. I like the 300's, they are smaller and lighter and easier for me to turn on and off too!

I have both the 500 dogtra and the Tritronic Bark limiter. The Dogtra is MUCH MUCH hotter than the Tritronics (I have a CRAZY barking dog), but it is also ultra sensitive. I swear sometimes the dog is receiving a shock (as evidenced by the loud yelp) when he's not barking or about to bark. I've talked to others that have had this problem with the Dogtra as well. The Tritronics is MUCH more reliable, but not nearly as hot... even on a level 5 this dog will bark right through it. So while I don't love the Dogtra, I have to use it for him. I use theTritronic collar for any of the other dogs that need barking controlled. Over all I like theTritronics better.

I bought a dogtra and didn't really like it. I would go with Tri-Tronics
