I spent 4 days in Fort Bragg, it was awesome.  Here are some great pictures taken of two of my dogs and three of my friends dogs.   What a GREAT town.  The dogs were welcome everywhere, shops, beaches, restaurants, motels,etc..  It was a great place to visit, everyone is very dog friendly.  In front of most businesses are dog water bowls.  The top picture was taken in the Dahlia garden at the Botanical Gardens,  Another dog friendly place.

Nice pictures, I like the Corgi's , but I think they shed more than Shepherds do.

I'm jealous. All I did was train dogs all weekend. Someday I am going to take a REAL vacation!

I do recommend Fort Bragg to those of you looking for a nice place to visit with your dogs.

Rookie gets along great with all animals.  They had such a blast.  That is what I enjoyed the most is just watching all the dogs interact with each other.   My initial plan was to take my two female Corgi's and leave the big dogs at home, but one of my Corgi's came into heat last week and so it was easier for me to take Rookie and leave her.  I didnt want every male in Fort Bragg following us around.. hehe

The top picture, taken in the Dahlia garden was the funniest thing.  We put all the dogs up on the bench and I swear we had 10 other poeple taking pictures of our dogs.  I knelt down to take my pictures and when I stood up I had people all around the back of me that we didnt even know.. hehe

It is, of course, great to know dog friendly places. But a word of caution. Not everyone takes care of their dog the way they should. I personally would NEVER allow my dog to be drinking water out of communal bowls as was mentioned here and I do not take dogs to dog parks or where lots of other unknown dogs are present. That is the fastest way for a dog to end up sick.

There is currently a large outbreak of bordetella in my area and several kennels have had to close. Fortunately, to date, no dogs have been ill here and I intend to keep it that way. A single dog carrying a disease into a kennel or drinking out of a bowl at a city store might be enough to make your dog very sick.

Common sense should prevail.
