during the storm....looks like we may be riding it out in hammond LA...

Pretty scarey. I've been watching the news all day. Looks like ya'll are going to get hammered. Can't you go somewhere to wait it out? I'll say a prayer for you and all out friends down there and their dogs.

..shelly, for us hammond is going somewhere...lol...by now i would never find a hotel room, esp one that would accept my dogs...but where we are going in hammond there is no flood worries, gonna be some bad wind tho. where i live is actually a little futher away from the storm than hammond, but we are surrounded by large pecan trees, they fall VERY easy and are very heavy....katrina put one on my house ..so we are going to stay with an aunt in hammond who has a newer brick house and no large trees.....my sister lives near me and she also has a brick house, but she wont allow my dogs inside :(...the aunt is very accepting of the dogs..

thanks for the prayers everyone.....vickie, i actually have some family going to oklahoma....wish i could take you up on that offer......i would prob leave futher if we had a vehicle that could fit dogs and kids in, i have a blazer but we are worried it would break down during a long trip....my car would make it but its to small
