The hips don't look so good but the positioning isn't correct!  We should be able to see the knee caps more straight up or more clearly!  The legs are not rotated in enough!  I would get the x-ray done again!

Vickie is right I didn't look at the knees, they will look better positioned properly.

Personally, I would contact the breeder and see what is your options are . Reguardless of the positioning the dog has a bad case of HD.

 I would say OUCH!!

I would say moderate because they're is not remodelling yet.  But it will come that is for sure..

I don't know if it's your dog but if it is you should contact the breeder and let them know..

I bred the dog and was contacted by the owner after the dog had already had triple pelvic osteotomy at 10mths old. This is the owners 3rd GSD all which developed hip problems. While I have no problems with a refund / replacment pup I have concerns regarding the history of 3 dogs all developing hip probllems and the issue of environmental factors and the pup is from sire 14 and dam 13 with several A stamp or single figure ancestors. Plus I have never been able to view the dog since purchased / prior to or since the operations. The rest of the litter was fine and as already mentioned the positioning is not good. Guess it is too late to know for sure as a pre operation x-ray is not possible.

I think his vet sucks at taking xrays which bodes well in his favor$$.  There's no way this dog should have had surgery based on xrays with that positioning.  Would they have looked great?  I don't think so but IMO they could have looked good enough not to need surgery.  JMO.
