we have been using raw for them all now and excellant results. the last month we have had to stay at a motel. (house was damaged in a storm). hard to do the raw so i picked up some kirkland. the stools are horrible, coats have gone dull. back to raw!
something u can use for loose stools is canned pumkin. the plain type with out spices.

My dogs range from 30-55 lbs.
There's an easy amount for each dogs meal, I feed 2 times a day, morn. & eve.
cut leg qtrs in half (feed 1/2 in the am & 1/2 in the pm)
Add
1-2 cups brown rice
1 soft boiled egg a day
1 tbs, plain yogurt
1 tbs. lard
1 vitamin tablet a day
*You can also fluxuate feeding chicken livers or organ meat also for variety.
Some say that raw chicken bones will puncture a dog intestines, but this is NOT true, COOKED bones will splinter because they're brittle. Even if you add some quality kibble to this, the natural diet is the way to go. Once your on this diet, if you see the dog is gaining too much weight, cut back on the portions a little, if they're too lean, add to the portions.
Here's a link to a very prestigious German Shephard breeder and what he recommends:
