i know it's difficult to find a good meat supplier in the tri-state area.

i'm just curious how many of you have/had the same difficulty.  do you have a place you buy your meat, or are you still looking?  do you have an ok place, and are looking for a better one?

also, where do you guys (in the NJ, PA, NY area) get your rmb's?

please feel free to pm me as well.

thank you in advance

Finding raw meat affordable ,is hard everywhere. I have a bad time in Okla . as so far between towns..I try to kill my own but some times that is a fluke.

we live in central texas and belong to a raw pet food coop.  one of the places we buy from is www.hare-today.com they're in western pa - they sell whole rabbit and the lots of whole ground meats like beef, chicken, duck, mutton, pork plus rmb from most these animals . we have a deal set up for reduced s&h because we buy large quanity but you are far closer so s&h might be reasonable.  also any place that sells meat should be able to special order you cases of particular cuts like pork or beef necks or whole chicken or lamb hearts (which is considered a muscle meat and not so much of an organ meat) ....

There is a co op called southeastern pa raw feeders it is a yahoo group, if you do a search I am sure you can find it.  They get good quality food at reasonable prices and they meet at Plymouth meeting Mall in Pa for deliveries.  You must activley volunteer to be a member of the group, but it is a good source.  Also I use www.topqualitydogfood.com  His name is Peter Beukers.  He makes and packages the food himself.  He delivers up to plymouth meeting mall pa and a few other places on a monthly basis.  If you put in a bulk order he is willing to make an extra trip up.  He is located outside of baltimore.  His food is of the highest quality and his prices are better than hare today or bravo.  I also think the quality is better than hare today or bravo both of which I have used in the past.  He is reliable I use and highly recommend him.

I'm in upstate NY and we have a group of 8-10 people that group our orders together to get case price discounts at our local OMA'S distributor.  I would love to start a raw food co-op up here to buy at a bigger discount.  I'm feeding about 6 pounds of raw meat and bone a day (total for all dogs), and that adds up when you vary the meat sources.
