I have used neither to top a kennel bottom. Any one have experience with either? I was considering more stable mats for this area but someone suggested I try quarry sand which I think is like quarry pack minus the stones. It is supposed to pack nicely .
These certain dogs I want to put in there on occasion are not escape artists (diggers), but one or two seem fond of eating dirt. I would like a safe bottom for this run and not something yummie for a dirt eater to have as a snack. This place may also be used as a puppy play pen. It's a turn out place. Not a living place.
