Ok, who is your favorite leather provider?
Personally, I like Bridgeport Leather. Decent leather equipment, very reasonable prices, long lasting. I have a harness that I purchased in the mid 90's, and it is still serviceable.
I also like Ellen Tree Kavitz. I can provide information for her. She has very nice braided leashes, regular leashes with some interesting knots in them, and she makes a very nice leather 6 way leash in either a 4, 6, or 7 ft length.

Frederick's of Hollywood!
A little trashy, but, oh so worth it!

This is timely. Recently I had all my dog equipment stolen out of my S/W. I was pretty bummed because one of the things that was stolen was a waist lead I had purchased in the early 90s. Handmade, one piece of butter soft, black leather, no rivets, the handle and clip braided in. I couldn't remember who the guy was who made and sold them out of his truck. Luckily 4pack came to my rescue and linked me to the guy I was looking for, Bill Forbes. They are the nicest leashes I have ever had.
I also really like his leather tracking line, very thin and soft.

Hee Hee, gotta admit I love my harness too, he gave me an extra strap and punched more holes so it is handy for dogs of all sizes. I have to share a harness between my pup and adult dogs. I also got a new fur saver with smaller links that works more like a choke from him. I really hate my long line I bought somewhere else. Someday I will replace it with a nice soft one from Bill. If only Publishers Clearing House would show up on my doorstep already!
