Today, the 11th Amended version of AB 1634, the mandatory sterilization bill authored by Assemblymember Lloyd Levine died in the California State Senate.
The releaf I feel can't be expressed in words. This bill has had me running scared for over a year now. I was wondering if staying in California had been a mistake.
It is time to relax, party a bit, but not sleep, Peta and the HSUS want to end pet ownership. As the president of the HSUS said they want to see the extiction of all domestic animals. They are not going to quit because one bill was stopped.
Thank you to everyone who passed the infornation on and sent letters, emails and took the time to make it to all the rallys.

I propose a bill to end PETA and HSUS and see if the public will make them extinct.

What is aggarvating is they will be back. I wish there was a way to put this to bed for once and always.A BIG THANK YOU FOR THOSE WHO PUT IN THE TIME TO STOP THIS NONSENSE.

Kudos to so many who worked so hard to defeat this bill. I don't live in CA, have a lot of friends who breed dogs there and really appreciate the united effort it took. It's a history-making victory for dog breeders and owners everywhere.

That's a great idea.....eliminate PETA and HSUS.
You would think the California legislature would be busy putting together a budget without spending increases. But noooooooooooo ...... they spend precious time to mess with our dogs.

It aint over yet...All dog owners in all states need to watch and keep up with your vicinity and dont let them in..They are sweeping the nation along with half a dozen other agencies trying to invade our private lives and our businesses.
If you dont stand up and voice and stand for what is right and what you believe in, we will be in the same choice of live as the people Russia just invaded..
Russian socialialist are knee deep in our country trying to put us in the same Government slave camps...dont laugh just add it all up and ask your self, what happens when all our freedoms of making a choice what i own, what i spend my money on and how I live the remaining days of my life, will be if I have no one , no where and have a government official visiting my house , taken from you , and belonging to the government, every other month or so , to collect his dues for you to remain not in the slave camp they are planning for all of us to work in...
Its not make believe..This pet thing is only one facet of it. Socialism means the govermnent owns everything including you.

It ain't over yet....Until you hear something from Mancuso and Levine with statement in regards to abandoning AB1634 and waiving thier white flag.... still continue to call your senators!!!! AB1634 was passed thru the Assembly at 10:30 pm, last time...

It ain't dead yet!
AB1634 was "called" and re-voted - we heard it was 20 no votes and only 5 aye votes. However, Senator Padilla has asked that AB1634 be held for reconsideration. We understand it is common courtesy for the legislators to support reconsiderations. This means that Padilla and Levine can still come back and ask the Senate to reconsider its vote if they think they can garner sufficient Aye votes to pass. This does not appear to be a good possibility. However, they technically have until 8/31 (actually before then because it would have to return to the Assembly for approval.)
The Senate has adjourned, and the Democrats are probably on their way to the DNC Convention. Things should be quiet until they return after 8/28. Please make one round of calls to the Senators to thank them for not supporting AB1634 (obviously, most Democrats abstained, and 5 voted NO and 5 Aye.)
Many of you called the Senators to inform them of AKC's current vigorous opposition and Bill Hemby (PetPAC) hand delivered copies of AKC's announcement posted on its website to counter Padilla's claims that AKC is neutral. Thank you Bill and AKC.
Aside from the possibility of a reconsideration by the Senate, Levine and Nava can still do the "switcheroo" on AB2074. We need to keep up our opposition to AB2074 and AB1634 next week when the Democrats return to Sacramento.
Our Gratitude to ALL of YOU for uniting to fight this huge battle against the AR Extremists. We have Won this Round! Our enemy is powerful, well funded and relentless - they'll be back! Take a well deserved break these next couple of days. Be prepared to renew our vigilance next week. THANK YOU!!
